Adventures in Paris!

Logan and I finally arrived in Paris on Friday morning after two very long (and seperate) flights3.5 from SLC to Washington DC and 7 to Paris). Luckily Logan's flight was delayed so we ended up landing at Charles de Gualle within minutes of each other, so around 7 am Paris time. After having a slight panic attack after arrival, trying to figure out how in the world we would find each other, we found each other! We navigated our way through the airport to the metro, which was probably the most confusing portion of our stay in Paris and made it to the train station near our hotel, Gare de l'est, I think it was. We were both pretty exhausted by this time; neither of us had really been able to sleep on the plane and because of the time change and my brilliant idea to stay up all night so that way we could just sleep on the plane didn't pan out so well, so by the time we arrived, we were both tired and exhausted. We walked to our hotel and found out that we would have to wait several hours to check into our room. So, the kind hostess let us leave our luggage and then proceeded to make our way around Paris. First we stopped at a local pub-like corner shop and bought two cokes, which we calculated cost us nearly 15 American dollars. After that much needed refresher, we headed out and did a little sight seeing around town. This is what we saw:

Our ridiculously expensive Coca-Colas!

We were finally able to check into our hotel at, I think around noon! By then we were so tired we couldn't see straight. We decided to lie down to take a short little nap and woke up at 8:30! We rushed to get ready because we were scheduled to meet one of my best friends and her mom and sister at a nearby restuarant; it was crazy that both of us ended up in Paris at the same time, completely unplanned! Anyway, we met at this amazing little place called Chez Loiuse Marie, or something like that. I pretty muched starved that night because I'm such a picky eater and everything on the menu made me want to up-chuck! I already posted the pictures on an older post of it!

Anyway, sorry this is so descriptive, but I'm doing it this way for journaling purposes! I'm going to try and post day-by-day, but we'll see how that works because altogether our trip amounts to 21.
