Whatev and a hair cut!!!

This is to the person who left me that not so friendly comment about my family being "gosspiers", which I am pretty sure that they meant "gossipers", but that's beyond the point! So anyways...at first I was a little upset about it, I'll admit. It really makes me sad that someone would think of my family as such low, petty people that have nothing better to do! My family is very respected and it's because of all of the wonderful, amazing things they have (and continue to do) for people. My parents have given more people cars, money, jobs and so much more! I guarantee there is not one person out there that has not been effected by my families kindness and genorousity. I just want to say that no one is perfect and that I am sure that every single person in this world has been guilty of gossiping! I am truely sorry if we offended you but I also have to say that is was just as shady of you to leave an annonymous comment on my blog! For future purposes, if you feel the need to let me know something, send it to my e-mail, at tonisoutham@gmail.com, because my blog is a place for my friends and family to see what has been happening because we so rarely get to see everyone. It's not a place for negativity because once again, no one is perfect and if all people wrote about were the mistakes and things they had done wrong, no one would wantto blog! And next time, leave your name!

Now, on a happier note, Grant got his first hair cut! I seriously got teary eyed when they first started buzzing away! I mean, it wasn't like we were getting rid of gorgeous, curly locks, I mean, the kid needed a hair cut! It just made me sad! He was pretty T.O.'ed at first and cried but then he chilled out and had a great time squirting me with the water bottle! I really love that kid soooo much! He looks like such a big boy now! Anyways...here are the pics! Enjoy!

Blog award, Bear Lake, and more!

True Love! My husband attacked me with a permanent marker! I tried fighting at first, but gave up realizing that I was fighting a losing battle!
This is going to be a long post because we have done so much in the past week! Just to warn you all! So to start out, my family had their annual family trip to Bear River! It is like my most favorite place in the entire world! Andrew ended up not being able to go and of course, Logan is on his mission but we made up those two empty places with our closest family friend, Deanna (who is 17 weeks prego with a girl and I am sooooo excited for her) and her husband Eric and daughter Linnea! I just love all of them so much! They seriously are family! We haven't even known Eric that long and he fits right in! We rented out two cabins and rented a boat for two days also! It was so awesome! We all tried wake boarding, which I think I did pretty good first my first time ever! I could get up and actually stayed up for like 10 seconds once! haha! I am so not a sporty person! We also went four wheeling, biking on these funky "banana" bike things and horse back riding!
Anyways, I hope you can understand all that because it's kind of just thrown together! I had such a great time! It was even better than last year too because my husband actually got to come along!
Grant showing off his skills on the skooter (sp?) Linnea got it for her 6th birthday, which she celebrated up at Bear Lake with us and Grant would not leave the thing alone! When we tried to take him off, he screamed! The kid has a talent for bikes, skooters, and temper tantrums!

Linnea, looking a little shocked! Probably from all the craziness that happens when our two families join together!
Here is a picture of us at our cabin eating dinner! The weather was SOOO nice! The water was great too!
Nathan and Grant sharing "knucks"! It's Grant's favorite thing!
Carli and I went four wheeling up in the mountains! This picture does not even do the place justice! We were sooooo high up and you could see everything!
Here's little Diddleworth snuggling with Gramma around the camp fire!

Erica and I leaving the beach after a long day of boating! I'm pretty scary without and makeup on or hair done!
Nathan getting on his horse, Oreo! He was kind of a crazy horse but Nathan had him all under control! The little cowboy!
Here's me! My hair looking extra large! My horses name was Rueben! He was kind of old any I thought he was going to break his hip on the trail!
Here's our little family caravan of horses!

Grant loved the sand! I mean LOVED the sand! As you can see here, he stuck his face in it! It was pretty funny!
This is Eric, in his stunner shades (my sun glasses) with Grant and the pool! The pool was so great! I think I might be part fish because I love water so much!
Aunt Car Cars with Diddlesworth at the pool and that's Linnea chilling out in the background!
Grant was a natural! He saw the bike and just had to get on it! He looks like such a big boy! It makes me so sad but excited at the same time!
Motherly Love!

And now, I'd just like to thank my best friend in the entire world, Ashley (I mean how many people can call their friend, your child's "unofficial God parent"?) for this award. Without her, I would have never gotten it! I'd also like to thank God and...haha, just kidding! I am pretty excited to know that my blog is actually looked at! I LOVE your blog too Ash! Here all the rules, since I have to pass it along!
1. Put the logo on your blog.
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you.
3. You must nominate fellow bloggers for this award.
4. Add links to the recipients.
5. Leave a comment so the recipients know they have received an award.

And the Nominees for best blog are:

Alicia - She is the greatest cousin! Her blog is so flippin cute! She seriously has some of the two cutest kids I have ever seen in my life! Also, because the woman is like a sister to me so she gets a nomination just for that!

Mamacita- My mom doesn't update her blog too often but when she does, I love it because I don't get to see my family every day so, it's so wonderful to see what is going on out in Price! (That was a HUGE run on sentence)!

Raquel- I nominate Raquel, cause her little boy Lincoln is so cute and she always has the cutest, funniest things to say on her blog! Plus, she always makes me laugh and I just love the girl to death!

In Memory of Richard Gene Kirk

Nathan's cousin Richard passed away early in the morning on July 9, 2008. He was only 19 years old. I didn't know him too well, but to Nathan, he was like a little brother! Richard's family is having a hard time, I know that none of you know them, but if you could keep them in your prayers we would be so grateful! They are such amazing people who are suffering from their loss!
Nathan and I attended his funeral today. It was so hard for one, he was so young, and also, it just brought back so many memories of my cousin Gian, who just passed away! I think that seeing his family hurting was the hardest part, as was for Gian's funeral! Both these events have left a lot for my mind to chew on! Sometimes I have such a hard time understanding why but I know that our Heavenly Father has his reasons! We just have to live with the comfort of knowing that they are both in a better place and that someday we will see them again! Events like this really open your eyes as to how precious life really is and how we have to try our hardest not to take it for granted! I just want to let all my friends and family know how much I love and appreciate them. I can't tell you all enough how much you mean to us. I just don't want to ever make the mistake again of not letting someone know how important they are to me, because I have slipped up and done it twice now!
This is a really bad picture of Richard, as soon as Nathan gets home from Vernal, I will post a new one! Thanks for stopping by!

The BIG announcement!

Well, I have a big announcement to make, hence the title! As some of you know, I haven't been feeling so hot lately! I've been so tired and just not on my A game! Nathan and I were pretty sure we knew what was going on but we didn't want to tell anyone until we knew for sure! Had the results back! Anyways...after about a week and a half of this, Nathan and I decided we were going to go see the doctor! We made the appointment and waited! Once, we got to the doctors, they ran a few tests and things and well...it's official! I....have pneumonia! Haha! I really do! I was so happy to hear that my sickness hasn't been in vain! I have been dying lately. So anyways, the doc put me on an antibiotic and said I should be feeling great in a few days so! Wish me luck!

Diddlesworth and Poodle Noodlekins!

So, this 4th of July weekend was sooo much fun! Nathan, Grant, and I had the opportunity to go camping with some of our good friends here in Wyoming, Kyle, Lindsey, and their daughter Lydia (who is two months older than Grant)! We left Thursday and stayed until Saturday evening! Our friend Bridger let us borrow their camper, which was totally awesome! Anyways...I will just list the events under the pictures because once again, I think it's just easier that way! Here is Lindsey and I floating down the Green River! It was soooo much fun! We did it like ten times!
Here is Nathan, Kyle, and our friend Brian taking a turn at floating down the river!
Here is a kind of far away picture of the camp site! It was sooo hot the whole time but it felt awesome! Lindsey and Kyle's camper was so nice and had ac, so we spent a lot of time in there!
Lindsey and I took the kids four-wheeling, which they loved! We had to get a picture of them on the four-wheelers together!
After a long, extremely bumpy ride, I pulled up next to Lindsey and noticed Lydia was out, when she made the same observation of Grant! We figured the ride had either given them "Shaken Baby Syndome" or they had just been terrified, which made them fall asleep!
Here is Lindsey with Lydia! She is the cutest little girl! Her and Grant are so funny when they are together! It's a complete Love/Hate thing!
Here is Grant and Lydia in the camper we borrowed from Bridger! Having a camping trailer made camping a whole new experience!
Our camp fire! We had fire works that night also, but I couldn't get any pictures because, once again, Grant fell asleep in my arms! They were some pretty awesome fireworks though! After living in Utah and Arizona your whole life, you forget how crazy fireworks can be!
Grant playing at our camp site!
Grant and Lydia using team work to fill the bucket with rocks so that they could pour the rocks out and start over again!
So this is a completely different story! It's really funny too! This evil bird has a vendetta against me or something because it continuously sneaks into my house and POOPS all over my kitchen! It's disguisting! This was the SIXTH time it's happend! That's right SIXTH! I figured it was finally time to post something about it!

Here is a little present the bird left all over my wall!
Now, last but not least, the reason for my title! As we were all sitting around the camp fire on the night of the fourth, we started discussing how parents have the most ridiculous names for their kids! I told everyone that Grant's worst nick name was Diddlesworth! I don't know where I got it from but it makes me laugh just reading it! Lindsey said that her worst nickname for Lydia was Poodle Noodlekins! We had a good laugh about both of them! Some other HORRIBLE nick names I have for Grant are:
Monkey or Monk
Diddle
Pummmyumpkin
Grunt
Stinky Feet Pete
Papi
Magoocifer
and many many more! So, I just wanted to share some of my crazy names I give my poor child! I know that we all have them though! Leave me a comment and tell me the worst name you have for your child! I would love to hear and it would also help me know that I am not completely crazy! Thanks!
